Homestead Trail LPANRD (Roca) NEGPP #13

After Mass on Sunday, June 2nd, we decided to hit a few more parks. We began by making the short drive to Roca, NE. Here we found the Homestead Trail. Here is a little information about this stop:
The Homestead trail is currently about 60 miles long, reaching from Lincoln, NE to Marysville, KS. Eventually it will link to Homestead National Monument near Beatrice. Along the trail you can find a variety of landscapes similar to what was found in the area before urban and rural development altered parts of the countryside. The path is great for hiking, biking, or just a light stroll.
We took a stroll down this path to experience what it had to offer. The girls enjoyed the flowers on the sides of the path and Ella enjoyed riding in the backpack we just purchased for this purpose.

The girls by an information post near the trail.
They quickly found the post.
And Lissie did the rubbing.
And Ella watched from her new view in the backpack.
They we all took a walk.
