Alexandria NEGPP #12

We departed from Hickman and made our way to our final destination of the day. Alexandria is a tiny town with a lake near it in the southern part of the state, about 2 hours drive from Lincoln.

This small recreation area consists of two lakes that total about 46 acres of water and a total area of only 55 acres. The area offers fishing, picnicking, camping, and other outdoor activities. This SRA is located only 22 miles from Rock Creek Station, where "Wild Bill" Hickok began his career.

We drove until we found our post and then parked the car. After collecting our rubbing, we decided to walk around the lake. That was when we found a fun surprise.

All 4 girls by the post by the lake.
Bernadette with a flower.
Lissie got her "flower", too.

We decided to treat the girls to some ice cream, so we walked over to the Sugar Shack. Upon arrival, we ordered the cone only to discover that the ice cream was lactose free. This was a great surprise for Jeremy, who became lactose intolerant last year.
Clare with her "twist" cone.
Jeremy with his first ice cream cone in nearly a year. Ella has one of her first cones, too.
As we walked around this lake, we saw this snake in the water .

\After a fun filled day, we headed for home having bagged three more rubbings.
